North Island Regional Competition, New Zealand Young Winemaker 2018

The New Zealand Young Winemaker Competition is now in its fourth year and is fast becoming a much talked about event high on the NZ Wine calendar.
Hawkes Bay will be holding the North Island competition, at EIT (Eastern Institute of Technology) on Friday 27th July 2018.
Entries will be accepted from Friday 18th May – Friday 29th June.
An information evening will be held 5.00-7.00pm, Wednesday 6th June, Sensory Room (E167), EIT for this year’s entrants to hear from previous contestants and committee members about the format of the 2018 event and areas to focus on in your application. It’s a great opportunity to come along, ask questions and hear about the competition first hand.
Six contestants will be selected from the applicants and will be notified by Friday 13th July.
The North Island competition will select two winners, who will go on to the national competition in Auckland and represent their regions on 21st August at Villa Maria Estate in Auckland.
